In 2009 AIDS Care started a handicraft project. HIV-positive mothers can make cards and gift bags in order to help support themselves and their families.
These ladies receive income for their work. Funds raised from the sale of these handicraft items support the AIDS Care project children who are pursuing tertiary education.
The Handicraft Project is a wonderful opportunity to employ people who are physically weak and may otherwise be unable to get a job. In this way these women become active workers in our ministry and are able to earn their own living.
In 2016 we were able to sell cards for a net income of USD 4,200. In this way we were able raise funds to support more than 20 students in tertiary education.
If you feel called to support the project, please e-mail us at handicraft(at)aids-care.net. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
