Today AIDS Care supports appr. 115-120 AIDS victimized childrens schooling. Up to 95% of the children are healthy, but their mother or father has died of AIDS. Often it is the HIV-positive mother who is left alone with the responsibility for the children and the economy.

Or both parents already have died of AIDS and it is now the Grandparents, an Aunt or another familymember who is responsible.

Other of the children are HIV-positive or have developed AIDS. But these children also has the right to go to school as long as possible.

For most of our children their HIV-status is unknown, because the mother does not dare to get them tested.
